About Me

Dr. Zheng Li specializes in the area of sustainable materials and structures, including modern timber structures and steel wind turbine structures. Specifically, he is working on the development of earthquake resistant / resilient structures and performance based design and reliability analysis. He is currently an associate professor on the faculty at Tongji University in the College of Civil Engineering. Dr. Li has received awards including the Excellent Doctoral Thesis of Tongji University in 2015. He was selected as young talented researcher within the Shanghai Sailing Program in 2016, and was the recipient of "Chenguang Scholar" of Shanghai in 2017. He serves as the Principal Investigator (PI) for three projects granted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China or Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Dr. Li is the author of two books and 80 technical publications (as the first or corresponding author for 35 papers in well reputed international peer reviewed journals).
